• ANARC is a qualifying round to the to the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) and by its achievements in ANARC09 the BUE Finalist team got qualified to the 2010 ICPC World Finals that will be held in Harbin, China, 1st - 6th February 2010.

  • In the presence of HRH The Prince Andrew, Duke of York, who was the guest of honour, Mr. Mohamed Farid Khamis, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, welcomed the distinguished guests and parents, of statesmen and highest dignitaries in the political, economic, educational, social and media spheres from Egypt, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, who shared in the celebration of this historic event.

  • The British University in Egypt announces the launch of the inaugural Egyptian Global Entrepreneurship Report for 2008. The study, which was funded by the Industrial Modernisation Centre and undertaken in partnership with the Egyptian Junior Business Association, was part of a 43 country study that monitored the level of entrepreneurship in the country and the factors influencing its development. The research was carried out by Dr Hala Hattab of the Department of Business Administration in the Faculty of Business Administration, Economics and Political Science and led by the Dean, Professor Kirby.

Promotion Guidelines

Academic staff professional promotion and development is monitored, organised and performed by the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU).  The council comprise specialized committees in all disciplines where all committees follow a unified set of guidelines which constitute the necessary conditions and requirements for promotion to the academic rank of Assistant and Full Professors.  These guidelines have gone through major restructuring and were finally approved for implementation in July 2009 to be effective starting October 2009.
